A collision led to Grimulators getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dale Ayrton hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The wind increased when Arthur Hayward made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phil Gorham in the 51st minute of play forced Grimulators's goalkeeper Marshal Kinsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Marshal Kinsey managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Magpies's Kirk Delbridge fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Randle Sinden during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Phil Gorham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
