Spectators: 8147 (Terracing: 6111, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 162) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arthur Heberle took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nile's Arthur Heberle got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Nile's Arthur Heberle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brooks Alchin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Hunter Valley FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earnest Stevens to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Luke Brophy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruce Chapman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan Tout, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Heberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruce Chapman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brynn Kepert in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Hunter Valley FC's goalkeeper Brooks Alchin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luke Brophy. After 25 minutes, Arthur Heberle made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hunter Valley FC's Brooks Alchin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brooks Alchin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonty Hamilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hunter Valley FC's zone, Arthur Heberle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brooks Alchin came out of the goal and Arthur Heberle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruce Chapman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earnest Stevens, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nile fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Bruce Chapman had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Grant Coleman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Brynn Kepert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berry Shortis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Brooks Alchin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Heberle in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Hunter Valley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Brophy came free, but Brooks Alchin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stan Tout to make the kick off. Brynn Kepert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Bruce Chapman made a huge save. 54 minutes into the match, Nile's Luke Brophy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brooks Alchin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With 57 minutes on the clock, Thomas Wayland commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Bruce Chapman went to the wrong direction when Grant Coleman was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Brynn Kepert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Bruce Chapman made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Brophy in the 66th minute of play forced Hunter Valley FC's goalkeeper Brooks Alchin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brooks Alchin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeffray Beer, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Jeffray Beer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeffray Beer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jonty Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonty Hamilton struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Brooks Alchin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nile. If Jonty Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Hunter Valley FC got a freekick which was hit by Arneil Allcock. Jack Dollimore kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Tout in the 94th minute of play forced Nile's goalkeeper Bruce Chapman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luke Brophy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brooks Alchin having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nile had played much better football throughout.
