Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Downing Heathwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Stevenson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Backpacker FC's Justin Hunn got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phillip Pegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Brophy having to interfere. Kris Brophy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brad Sanderson's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Kris Brophy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip Pegler in the 21st minute of play. Backpacker FC's Kris Brophy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Pegler in the 26th minute of play. Jessop Whelpton charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jessop Whelpton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kyeemagh booed when Backpacker FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jessop Whelpton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kyeemagh's Phillip Pegler in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Backpacker FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Backpacker FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Bernard Sennett hit a great ball. Phillip Pegler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kris Brophy having to make a save. Brad Sanderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kris Brophy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Backpacker FC got a freekick which was hit by Kane Hardiman. Kris Brophy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Pegler, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justin Hunn made a kick off. Kris Brophy came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Kyeemagh's Jeffers Kreck. But to his dismay, Jeffers Kreck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Brad Sanderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Backpacker FC got a freekick which was hit by Kane Hardiman. Kyeemagh's Jarrod Stevenson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Kyeemagh from getting a goal against them. Brad Sanderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Brophy having to interfere. Phillip Pegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Brophy having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Backpacker FC's Kane Hardiman got a free kick in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Phillip Pegler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kyeemagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Backpacker FC the free kick. Phillip Pegler hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Brad Sanderson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kris Brophy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Phillip Pegler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kane Hardiman kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Kyeemagh's Brad Sanderson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kris Brophy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Pegler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Backpacker FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Brye Coburn hit a great ball. Kyeemagh's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
