Spectators: 8180 (Terracing: 6137, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 162) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Carsyn Ashwin made the kick off which started today's match. Carsyn Ashwin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Samuel Pack made a huge save. In the 13th match minute, Southern DeShaun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Edwardo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Glover in the 18th minute of play forced Southern DeShaun's goalkeeper Samuel Pack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Southern DeShaun were furious when Rob Veitch was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 22nd minute of the match, Todd Glover tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Samuel Pack saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in PEI United's zone, Luck Bailey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neale Peach came out of the goal and Luck Bailey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Neale Peach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Trevena's late challenge caught a PEI United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Trevena helped the player get up and apologised. Adolfo Trevena hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Luck Bailey took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neale Peach. Neale Peach dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 38th minute of the match Larkins Devere sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Neale Peach skillfully saved the ball. In the 41st minute, Adolfo Trevena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abbott Butterworth kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as PEI United's Todd Glover slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Pack. That made the score 1-1 after 46 minutes of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luck Bailey made a kick off. With his leg Neale Peach managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Southern DeShaun's Luck Bailey fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Neale Peach didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luck Bailey went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck Bailey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Trevena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Neale Peach made a huge save. In the 72ndth minute of the game Luck Bailey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PEI United's Neale Peach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Southern DeShaun getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Byron Behla hit a great ball. Samuel Pack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carsyn Ashwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck Bailey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Neale Peach when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carsyn Ashwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Pack having to interfere. Samuel Pack stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todd Glover's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
