The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brendan Hunter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, Brad Sanderson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kyeemagh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 15th minute, Phillip Pegler made a precise shot to the right of Brendan Hunter. Gulginni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 20 minutes, Ralph Mundine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gulginni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Mundine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brendan Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brad Sanderson in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Phillip Pegler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brendan Hunter was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ralph Mundine got free with Jarrod Stevenson in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 minutes, Aden Lawson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gulginni and the Kyeemagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. Phillip Pegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendan Hunter having to interfere. Brad Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45thth minute of the game Loud Deeth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kyeemagh's Jarrod Stevenson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Kyeemagh's goal looked a bit too open when Loud Deeth came free, but Jarrod Stevenson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phillip Pegler made a kick off. Brad Sanderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Brendan Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brad Sanderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brad Sanderson might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brendan Hunter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brad Sanderson ran back to his position shaking his head. Gulginni's Brendan Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Pegler in the 79th minute of play. Barnes Haeberle kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Phillip Pegler was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gulginni's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Phillip Pegler scored to the left of an out of position Brendan Hunter, making the score, 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brad Sanderson got free with Brendan Hunter in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Kyeemagh left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gulginni.
