After a defensive mix-up in Backpacker FC's zone, Bryanne Wang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kris Brophy came out of the goal and Bryanne Wang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kris Brophy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Adair's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Bryanne Wang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Downing Heathwood struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Duncan Byrnes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Backpacker FC. When Roger Turner fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lewisham's protests and gave Roger Turner a yellow card for diving instead. Roger Turner kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Roger Turner was shown his second yellow card after 19 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Backpacker FC booed when Lewisham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Turner didn't get a good kick on the ball.
