In the 23rd minute, Perth Lynx's Phenix Korff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Ralph Mundine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edison Fasey. Perth Lynx's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralph Mundine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gulginni's Brendan Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Brandie in the 32nd minute of play. When Loud Deeth came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Gulginni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loud Deeth couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute Loud Deeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edison Fasey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phenix Korff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
