But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Sanderson couldn't finish the play. Christian Tout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phillip Pegler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brad Sanderson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Tout read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Richard Hinwood's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarrod Stevenson was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Melbourne 1980's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Pegler came free, but Christian Tout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Tout showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Melbourne 1980's goal looked a bit too open when Phillip Pegler came free, but Christian Tout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Melbourne 1980 got a freekick which was hit by Brooks Harding. In the 75th minute of the match, Phillip Pegler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Christian Tout saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Phillip Pegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Tout having to interfere. Berny Delbridge got a throw-in 92 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Phillip Pegler. When the match was over Kyeemagh could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Melbourne 1980 throughout the match.
