Richard Rose kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, FC Le Grub's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Gorham came free, but Aaron Carr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bray Unicomb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute Bishop Lambourne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnie Howie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Sydney Rockets's Arnie Howie got control of the ball when Reese Dollimore tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Bishop Lambourne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Le Grub's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bishop Lambourne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Sydney Rockets getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. George Maddern hit a great ball. When Reese Dollimore came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the FC Le Grub fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reese Dollimore couldn't finish the play. Arnie Howie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bishop Lambourne, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reese Dollimore in the 89th minute of play forced Sydney Rockets's goalkeeper Arnie Howie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Humphry Kuskopf managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Le Grub's supporters rose to their feet, but Humphry Kuskopf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnie Howie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John Calver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Arnie Howie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Le Grub were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Sydney Rockets to leave the ground with a draw.
