Spectators: 6854 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Corey Leydin took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corey Leydin in the 4th minute of play forced Earlston's goalkeeper Edmonds Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aron Bower fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnie Howie having to interfere. Nathaniel Gruer kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Christian Sparrow, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Danton Lawrence hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Edmonds Hands stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corey Leydin's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Neil Gorham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmonds Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corey Leydin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Earlston's goalkeeper Edmonds Hands, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Danton Lawrence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes Earlston got a freekick which was hit by Damon Barugh. When Corey Leydin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Edmonds Hands was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Edmonds Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corey Leydin in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Sydney Rockets's Corey Leydin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmonds Hands narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Sydney Rockets getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Carson Aroege hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danton Lawrence to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Corey Leydin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmonds Hands. That made the score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. Corey Leydin struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Edmonds Hands didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sydney Rockets. Arnie Howie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelvin Nunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute Brendan Cusbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnie Howie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sydney Rockets booed when Earlston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Sparrow didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Sydney Rockets's Murphey Barugh in action when he in the 69th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Earlston booed when Sydney Rockets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Maddern didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Corey Leydin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Earlston's Edmonds Hands was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Earlston's Aron Bower got a free kick in the 84th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Corey Leydin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sydney Rockets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corey Leydin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corey Leydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmonds Hands having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Damon Barugh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Corey Leydin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmonds Hands. That made the score 0-2 in the 93 minute of play.
