Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adolph Magrath started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolph Magrath in the 3rd minute of play forced Sydney Rockets's goalkeeper Arnie Howie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sydney Rockets's Casper Berresford got a free kick in the 4th minute. Arnie Howie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolph Magrath in the 5th minute of play. In the 12th minute Corey Leydin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Payne Mills saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corey Leydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payne Mills having to interfere. When Jonathan Keato fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KDC United's protests and gave Jonathan Keato a yellow card for diving instead. Edwin Saisell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnie Howie having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Sydney Rockets's Loud Wharton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Payne Mills showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corey Leydin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. KDC United's Payne Mills proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save KDC United from getting a goal against them. Neil Gorhams short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Payne Mills to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute Corey Leydin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Payne Mills saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corey Leydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payne Mills having to interfere. Neil Gorham's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Payne Mills skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corey Leydin was the one to do the kick off. Corey Leydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payne Mills having to interfere. Handley Waters kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, KDC United's Fleming Connolly broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Edwin Saisell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, KDC United's goal looked a bit too open when Corey Leydin came free, but Payne Mills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Sydney Rockets's Neil Gorham made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Payne Mills was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, KDC United's goal looked a bit too open when Corey Leydin came free, but Payne Mills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Neil Gorham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes, Corey Leydin made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. KDC United's Payne Mills tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as KDC United's Adolph Magrath slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arnie Howie. That made the score 3-1 after 96 minutes of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the KDC United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sydney Rockets.
