Adolph Magrath showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Humphry Knaack ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Payne Mills was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Soupers's Donovan Pfingst sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Payne Mills narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Kent Hanlen fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KDC United's protests and gave Kent Hanlen a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, KDC United's Kent Hanlen got a free kick in the 20th minute. KDC United's Payne Mills played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humphry Knaack in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Soupers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ed Crapp to maneuver through the defense. Kent Hanlen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Payne Mills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donovan Pfingst in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of KDC United booed when Soupers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Broderick Jackson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Soupers's goalkeeper Dean Telfer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolph Magrath. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 65th minute, Soupers's Donovan Pfingst ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Payne Mills. Payne Mills yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 68th minute, Grant Frew hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donovan Pfingst got in the 73rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Payne Mills handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Grant Frew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payne Mills having to interfere. Payne Mills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humphry Knaack in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to KDC United getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Kent Hanlen hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Soupers's Donovan Pfingst sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Payne Mills narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Humphry Knaack came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Soupers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humphry Knaack couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Soupers's Donovan Pfingst sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Payne Mills narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Humphry Knaack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The KDC United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Soupers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
