Spectators: 7433 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1833, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cullen Nunn made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute Barney Aliendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corey Maddern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corey Maddern stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barney Aliendi's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute, Hans Virgin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Corey Maddern was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, 69ers's Hans Virgin got a free kick in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amos Moran got free with Ian Giles in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ian Giles made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Amos Moran sent off a good shot on target. Cullen Nunn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the 69ers defense, Amos Moran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ian Giles. The 69ers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ian Giles should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute, Amos Moran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barney Aliendi was the one to do the kick off. Hans Virgin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corey Maddern read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Hans Virgin struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Corey Maddern didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 69ers. Amos Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rowville booed when 69ers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drew Sparrow didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Cullen Nunn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hans Virgin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Rowville getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Edgar Addison hit a great ball. Rowville's Cullen Nunn got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivan Todman hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in 69ers's zone, Amos Moran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Giles came out of the goal and Amos Moran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Randle Wittber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Giles having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 69ers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
