Spectators: 6857 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 10) Quandialla's Bruce Kiel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Quandialla's Byron Parryman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neale Bridson in the 7th minute of play. If Bruce Kiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Neale Bridson got free in front of the goal in the 13th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Byron Parryman was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 15thth minute of the game Neale Bridson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quandialla's Byron Parryman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Welland's zone, Jacobs Legg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burt Rafferty came out of the goal and Jacobs Legg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Burt Rafferty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Kiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Byron Parryman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neale Bridson in the 33rd minute of play. Byron Parryman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neale Bridson's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After 36 played minutes Quandialla got a freekick which was hit by Al Heathwood. After a defensive mix-up in Quandialla's zone, Neale Bridson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Byron Parryman came out of the goal and Neale Bridson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Welland's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobs Legg came free, but Burt Rafferty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neale Bridson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Byron Parryman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Starling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byron Parryman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Kiel in the 50th minute of play forced Welland's goalkeeper Burt Rafferty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Navarro Norman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pierre Starling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byron Parryman having to interfere. Byron Parryman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Neale Bridson's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre Starling in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Byron Parryman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Quandialla's Burt Rafferty threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bruce Kiel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Neale Bridson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byron Parryman having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Al Heathwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neale Bridson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Byron Parryman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Starling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brooker Christina's late challenge caught a Quandialla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brooker Christina helped the player get up and apologised. Ray Fessey hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
