A beautiful save bye T&G OCEAN's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12th minute, Neale Bridson made a precise shot to the right of Jamie Markwell. T&G OCEAN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Pearce Trenoweth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Burt Rafferty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Russel Crane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. T&G OCEAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Welland the free kick. A collision led to T&G OCEAN getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Russel Crane hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Navarro Norman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jamie Markwell skillfully saved the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Bruce Mackney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Welland's Burt Rafferty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 played minutes T&G OCEAN got a freekick which was hit by Edison Huff. When T&G OCEAN's Bruce Mackney in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Welland's goalie prevented a goal. Jamie Markwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brooker Christina in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Welland's Sam Hoey got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes, T&G OCEAN's Jack Hollingworth shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Burt Rafferty came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in T&G OCEAN reached it. Bruce Mackneys short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Burt Rafferty to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Bruce Mackney managed to get in a good position for a shot. T&G OCEAN's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruce Mackney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Burt Rafferty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruce Mackney in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burt Rafferty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Welland's zone, Bruce Mackney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burt Rafferty came out of the goal and Bruce Mackney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brooker Christina's late challenge caught a T&G OCEAN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brooker Christina helped the player get up and apologised. Brooker Christina hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Jack Hollingworth shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Burt Rafferty showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the T&G OCEAN defense, Pierre Starling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jamie Markwell. The T&G OCEAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jamie Markwell should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, T&G OCEAN's Jamie Markwell got control of the ball when Pierre Starling tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Neale Bridson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jamie Markwell. Neale Bridson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Neale Bridson sped through T&G OCEAN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jamie Markwell. Jamie Markwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neale Bridson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edison Huff in the 87th minute of play forced Welland's goalkeeper Burt Rafferty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Welland's Bryan Reiter got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Bruce Mackney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burt Rafferty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burt Rafferty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Mackney in the 92nd minute of the match. Pierre Starling came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jamie Markwell could save by the left post. After some careless play in the T&G OCEAN defense, Pierre Starling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jamie Markwell. The T&G OCEAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jamie Markwell should have stopped the shot. The Welland players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
