In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind MXW UNITED's goalkeeper Benson Virgin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Boyde Shearn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Reginald Jury notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MXW UNITED's Benson Virgin. Benson Virgin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the match, Moliagul's goal looked a bit too open when Paz Arkinstall came free, but Lance Coleman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reginald Jury made a kick off. After 53 played minutes MXW UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Cubitt. Boyde Shearn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Benson Virgin made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Reginald Jury had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benson Virgin. MXW UNITED's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reginald Jury was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The MXW UNITED fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when MXW UNITED's Kyle Paull looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Reginald Jury came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Moliagul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginald Jury couldn't finish the play. Benson Virgin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginald Jury in the 86th minute of the match. With a little luck, MXW UNITED's Benson Virgin got control of the ball when Boyde Shearn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boyde Shearn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Moliagul could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MXW UNITED throughout the match.
