The supporters of Brookong booed when Lucyvale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Barclay didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th match minute, Brookong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reese Holdsworth to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Reese Holdsworth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baxter Kuskoff was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Quincy Harding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baxter Kuskoff having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Jasmine Turnor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucyvale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jasmine Turnor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
