Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herman Freeman in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Virgin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute of the match North Geelong Warriors got a corner. Duffield's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kale Bromfield ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tommy Virgin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Freeman in the 10th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Herman Freeman put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Virgin. Cafu Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Quade Glover was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Logan Diehl. Quade Glover showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Buchanan Mcgrath in the 27th minute of the match. Buchanan Mcgrath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Quade Glover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Herman Freeman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 played minutes Duffield got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Tisdell. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herman Freeman in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Virgin saved Duffield from getting behind. When Richard Travers came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Duffield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Travers couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kale Bromfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tommy Virgin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Duffield's Amos Kinsey got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Cliff Kreck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. James Pearson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Angelo Bielski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quade Glover saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quade Glover made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buchanan Mcgrath in the 68th minute of play. Quade Glover didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Buchanan Mcgrath went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute, Duffield's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Herman Freeman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 77 minutes into the match, Herman Freeman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Virgin, 3-3. If James Pearson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. North Geelong Warriors's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
