Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Irrintzi Toribia in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bran Devere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 played minutes Brookong got a freekick which was hit by Byron Starling. In the 48th minute of the match Kale Bromfield shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bran Devere showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reese Holdsworth made a kick off. With his leg Bran Devere managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when North Geelong Warriors's Herman Freeman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
