Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Herman Freeman kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Newrybar getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Barry Schutt hit a great ball. Barry Schutt's late challenge caught a North Geelong Warriors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barry Schutt helped the player get up and apologised. Bray Caddick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kale Bromfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute, Herman Freeman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edmund Smee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, North Geelong Warriors's Herman Freeman got a free kick in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Freeman during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herman Freeman hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Dagan Worrall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. James Pearson might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bray Caddick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. James Pearson ran back to his position shaking his head. Herman Freeman took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bray Caddick. Bray Caddick dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Herman Freeman scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bray Caddick, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Drew Adamson made the kick off in the second half. If James Pearson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Newrybar defense, Herman Freeman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bray Caddick. The Newrybar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bray Caddick should have stopped the shot. Bray Caddick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Pearson in the 59th minute of play. Herman Freeman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bray Caddick came out and tried to block the shot, but Herman Freeman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 62nd minute. A hard shot 67 in the game by Herman Freeman from a close distance when the talented Bray Caddick managed to make a qualified save. Newrybar's players were relieved. Herman Freeman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bray Caddick firmly grabbed it by the left post. Herman Freeman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Bray Caddick made a huge save. Herman Freeman might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bray Caddick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herman Freeman ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the game, James Pearson lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Bray Caddick. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Herman Freeman took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Bray Caddick to make any attempt to save it. James Pearson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bray Caddick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bray Caddick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herman Freeman in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded North Geelong Warriors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Newrybar.
