When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Drew Adamson made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Duffield's Amos Kinsey got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Drew Adamson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Virgin was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Drew Adamson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newrybar's supporters rose to their feet, but Drew Adamson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Virgin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Newrybar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
