Spectators: 7841 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) Boyd Rutledge started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Lucyvale's Boyd Rutledge dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Herman Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lucyvale's Gregory Locke got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Kale Bromfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boyd Rutledge was extremely unlucky when he, in the 17th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Quade Glover made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Jasmine Turnor sent off a good shot on target. Herman Freeman's late challenge caught a Lucyvale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Freeman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, North Geelong Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Freeman to maneuver through the defense. Quade Glover showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyd Rutledge in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, North Geelong Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Boyd Rutledge came free, but Quade Glover reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quade Glover made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Jasmine Turnor sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, North Geelong Warriors's Brook Legg got a free kick in the 36th minute. Kale Bromfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Baxter Kuskoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, North Geelong Warriors's Quade Glover got control of the ball when Jasmine Turnor tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Brook Legg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kale Bromfield was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucyvale's goalkeeper Baxter Kuskoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Lucyvale getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gregory Locke hit a great ball. Baxter Kuskoff was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herman Freeman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 56 minute of play. In the 60th minute, Boyd Rutledge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lucyvale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Herman Freeman hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes Lucyvale's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kale Bromfield who took care of the corner kick. North Geelong Warriors's Kale Bromfield was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baxter Kuskoff in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tom Barclay charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tom Barclay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Lucyvale got a freekick which was hit by Tom Barclay. Baxter Kuskoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kale Bromfield in the 80th minute of play. North Geelong Warriors's Kale Bromfield got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Kale Bromfield dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Baxter Kuskoff, 4-2. Lucyvale's Baxter Kuskoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Tande in the 87th minute of play. Quade Glover made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasmine Turnor in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, North Geelong Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brook Legg to maneuver through the defense. Kale Bromfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Baxter Kuskoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lucyvale were victorious despite being under pressure from North Geelong Warriors for much of the match.
