Spectators: 7876 (Terracing: 5968, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 158) Arne Waters started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Arne Waters took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roland Pfingst. Roland Pfingst dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 11 minutes, Bryson Whitsitt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YouShallNotPass and the Sydney Eagles players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sydney Eagles booed when YouShallNotPass was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryson Whitsitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rick Luckham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Arne Waters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roland Pfingst. YouShallNotPass's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arne Waters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, YouShallNotPass's goal looked a bit too open when Rick Luckham came free, but Roland Pfingst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rick Luckham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Roland Pfingst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, YouShallNotPass's Bryson Whitsitt got a free kick in the 35th minute. Roland Pfingst came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Sydney Eagles's Rick Luckham. But to his dismay, Rick Luckham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Lawrence Howarth came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the YouShallNotPass fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lawrence Howarth couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Sydney Eagles's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lawrence Howarth fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 48 minutes into the match, YouShallNotPass's Brynn Pearse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Butterfield narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Brynn Pearse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Sydney Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Howarth came free, but Mark Butterfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, YouShallNotPass's Roland Pfingst got control of the ball when Rick Luckham tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brynn Pearse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Lawrence Howarth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YouShallNotPass's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lawrence Howarth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. YouShallNotPass's Brynn Pearse got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Sydney Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Rann to maneuver through the defense. If Brynn Pearse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawrence Howarth struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Mark Butterfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YouShallNotPass. Mark Butterfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence Howarth in the 77th minute of the match. Mark Butterfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brynn Pearse, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Brynn Pearse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Butterfield having to interfere. Mark Butterfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brynn Pearse in the 82nd minute of the match. If Bryson Whitsitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Lawrence Howarth managed to get in a good position for a shot. YouShallNotPass's supporters rose to their feet, but Lawrence Howarth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Butterfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lawrence Howarth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, Jonty Mcinnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sydney Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave YouShallNotPass the free kick. Jonty Mcinnes kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sydney Eagles eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
