Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Arne Collins successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 24thth minute of the game Kirby Digiuseppe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kogarah Reds's Arne Collins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 26 minutes, Chuck Shortus made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kogarah Reds's Arne Collins tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 29 minutes, Kirby Digiuseppe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Narrogin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kirby Digiuseppe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kirby Digiuseppe in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Collins saved Kogarah Reds from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Kirby Digiuseppe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arne Collins was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Kirby Digiuseppe did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Arne Collins 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kirby Digiuseppe made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kogarah Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Chuck Shortus came free, but Arne Collins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chuck Shortus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Kirby Digiuseppe came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Narrogin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirby Digiuseppe couldn't finish the play. Chuck Shortus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Collins having to interfere. 65 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Narrogin's Kirby Digiuseppe fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Jamese Oreilly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute Kirby Digiuseppe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Collins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Narrogin getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Fabian Bielski hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Narrogin's Kirby Digiuseppe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arne Collins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 81 minutes, Chuck Shortus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kirby Digiuseppe in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Collins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arne Collins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirby Digiuseppe in the 85th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Kogarah Reds got a freekick which was hit by Jamese Oreilly. After 88 played minutes, Narrogin's Ian Leydin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arne Collins came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Narrogin reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuck Shortus in the 90th minute of play forced Kogarah Reds's goalkeeper Arne Collins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kogarah Reds's goalkeeper Arne Collins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Chuck Shortus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
