Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Randolph Cusbert made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Horrocks getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Buchanan Pearce hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Millfield's Corey Wilde ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Everett Orr. Everett Orr yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Horrocks getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Archie Oneill hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes Horrocks got a freekick which was hit by Russell Pinhey. In the 15th match minute, Horrocks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randolph Cusbert to maneuver through the defense. If Randolph Cusbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Millard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Everett Orr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horrocks's Everett Orr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corey Wilde in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Buchanan Pearce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Millfield's Russ Macumber was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Steve Adamson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play Horrocks's Russell Pinhey was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes into the match, Buchanan Pearce notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Millfield's Russ Macumber. Russ Macumber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Buchanan Pearce in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Russ Macumber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horrocks's goalkeeper Everett Orr, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, Millfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Millard to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Millfield's zone, Fletcher Belford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Russ Macumber came out of the goal and Fletcher Belford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buchanan Pearce in the 44th minute of play forced Millfield's goalkeeper Russ Macumber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Russ Macumber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buchanan Pearce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Russ Macumber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buchanan Pearce in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Corey Wilde to strike the kick off in the second half. Fletcher Belford charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fletcher Belford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th minute, Fletcher Belford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corey Wilde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Everett Orr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Horrocks's Buchanan Pearce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Russ Macumber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 67 played minutes Horrocks got a freekick which was hit by Archie Oneill. Buchanan Pearce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Russ Macumber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Buchanan Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Macumber having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Millfield's Arne Millard got a free kick in the 79th minute. Buchanan Pearce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 played minutes Horrocks got a freekick which was hit by Buchanan Pearce. In the 85th minute, Arne Millard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buchanan Pearces short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Russ Macumber to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arne Millard kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A hard shot 90 in the game by Buchanan Pearce from a close distance when the talented Russ Macumber managed to make a qualified save. Millfield's players were relieved. Brent Macinnes's late challenge caught a Horrocks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brent Macinnes helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Millfield fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Horrocks eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
