Jajat Handoyo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Everett Orr made a huge save. Everett Orr made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Davey Isaac sent off a good shot on target. Ollie Odonahoo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Jajat Handoyo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Everett Orr to make any attempt to save it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Randolph Cusbert couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Horrocks's goalkeeper Everett Orr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jajat Handoyo. Everett Orr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 45th minute of the match Randolph Cusbert completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Randolph Cusbert a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Horrocks getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Randolph Cusbert hit a great ball. Jajat Handoyo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Everett Orr read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Buchanan Pearce made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Davey Isaac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everett Orr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Horrocks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everett Orr should have stopped the shot. Buchanan Pearce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blaxland FC's Barney Ross was substituted for Bernard Miels. Blaxland FC's Quincy Howard was substituted for Cassidy Hollingworth. In the 89th minute, Ollie Odonahoo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horrocks's Buchanan Pearce got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Blaxland FC were the better team. Blaxland FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
