In the 46th match minute, Kevington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eden Lowes to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Lance Stanton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Russ Macumber was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bart Hayward kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Norm Rennie hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Benedict Jackson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eden Lowes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Macumber having to interfere. Russ Macumber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedict Jackson in the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Neale Kiel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kevington and the Millfield players grew even worse after the yellow card.
