Tord Tholsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corey Wilde, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Arne Millard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tord Tholsson was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Benney Bowen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 minutes Millfield's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonathan Balaam who took care of the corner kick. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Millfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brent Macinnes tried in the game's 40th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Russ Macumber. An annoying self made goal, 2-0. In the 47th minute, Gregory Atkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregory Atkin made a kick off. Millfield's Russ Macumber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregory Atkin in the 75th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arne Millard during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
