Ritchie Tarrats blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicholas Goring having to make a save. Berny Holdsworth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Irrintzi in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian de Godoi in the 37th minute of play forced Coila's goalkeeper Nicholas Goring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berny Holdsworth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacobo Irrintzi went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute, Ritchie Tarrats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berny Holdsworth made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Jacobo Irrintzi sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Maribyrnong FC's goalkeeper Berny Holdsworth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacobo Irrintzi. Bo Bowen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Goring having to interfere. Ian de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Nicholas Goring made a huge save. 60 minutes into the game, Jacobo Irrintzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maribyrnong FC the free kick. Nicholas Goring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ritchie Tarrats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian de Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Nicholas Goring made a huge save. A collision led to Coila getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bradford Millard hit a great ball. Jaffery Crapp hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Ritchie Tarrats came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Maribyrnong FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ritchie Tarrats couldn't finish the play. Luke Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nicholas Goring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Edmílson Mamais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Goring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicholas Goring stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ritchie Tarrats's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Maribyrnong FC's Ritchie Tarrats dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Maribyrnong FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
