Redlynch's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bankstown the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Bankstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jess Claringbold to maneuver through the defense. Carmichael Schulze's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Doyle Cusbert firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Bankstown's Edmund Krause got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Berne Samuels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redlynch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berne Samuels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Redlynch's Bradshaw Anders managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Browne Trevena in the 26 minute of the game. 39 minutes into the game, Berne Samuels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tommy Pavkovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Jayden Rose fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Doyle Cusbert, passed just outside the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmichael Schulze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doyle Cusbert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmichael Schulze went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 56 minutes into the game, Redlynch's Carmichael Schulze nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doyle Cusbert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Browne Trevena fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bankstown's protests and gave Browne Trevena a yellow card for diving instead. Bradshaw Anders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doyle Cusbert having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmichael Schulze in the 67th minute of play forced Bankstown's goalkeeper Doyle Cusbert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Carbery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Bankstown's Pete Carbery nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
