Abbott Fulton kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Skoolage United booed when Coila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Rafferty didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match, Bradford Millard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ike Pinhey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Darrell Sanderson struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Nicholas Goring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skoolage United. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob Wakefield to strike the kick off in the second half.
