Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mario Domeka made the kick off which started today's match. Bruce Withy hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Bruce Withy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlisle Askew was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Goal Fc's zone, Bruce Withy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlisle Askew came out of the goal and Bruce Withy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlisle Askew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Adamson in the 13th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes, Goal Fc's Dalwood Lenard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jones Rosenboom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goal Fc reached it. After 21 minutes, Jamie Collins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goal Fc and the Wallacia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Berkeley Wharton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jones Rosenboom made a huge save. Alvin Gronow kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jones Rosenboom was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dalwood Lenard. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berkeley Wharton got free with Jones Rosenboom in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute of the match, Berkeley Wharton got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jones Rosenboom was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Carlisle Askew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Withy in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Wallacia's Alvin Gronow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlisle Askew made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A hard shot 37 in the game by Berkeley Wharton from a close distance when the talented Jones Rosenboom managed to make a qualified save. Wallacia's players were relieved. With a little luck, Wallacia's Jones Rosenboom got control of the ball when Berkeley Wharton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wallacia's Arnold Adamson got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnold Adamson to make the kick off. Arnold Adamson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Carlisle Askew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wallacia's Bruce Withy in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goal Fc's goalie prevented a goal. Wallacia's Jones Rosenboom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Domeka in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Berkeley Wharton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jones Rosenboom. Wallacia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berkeley Wharton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 66th minute, George Freeman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jones Rosenboom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berkeley Wharton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkeley Wharton in the 77th minute of play forced Wallacia's goalkeeper Jones Rosenboom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Berkeley Wharton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jones Rosenboom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wallacia's Jones Rosenboom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkeley Wharton in the 80th minute of play.
