The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Woolooma's Rusty Notley got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Kevin Will came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Fotas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Will couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, Bremen Mcinnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Woolooma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Fotas's zone, Duke Oconnell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eraldo Scibilia came out of the goal and Duke Oconnell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Natalio Costante succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 52nd playminute. Dugald Bowen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Fotas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Eraldo Scibilia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bremen Mcinnes in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Fotas got a freekick which was hit by Keefe Brennan. In the 66th minute Bern Morse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eraldo Scibilia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eraldo Scibilia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bremen Mcinnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Fotas's goal looked a bit too open when Neale Freel came free, but Eraldo Scibilia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kevin Will kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Navin Jury. That made the score 1-3 in the 72 minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Woolooma's goalkeeper Navin Jury had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natalio Costante. Natalio Costante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eraldo Scibilia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bern Morse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eraldo Scibilia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathaniel Sedgman, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Kevin Will who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Woolooma's Navin Jury was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eraldo Scibilia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bern Morse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dugald Bowen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Navin Jury tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Costante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Navin Jury read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
