Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Porter Simpson kicked off to start the match. Alvin Marsland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porter Simpson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kevin Conlin came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Crimson Eagles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Conlin couldn't finish the play. If Lowrey Quinnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Lowrey Quinnell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Porter Simpson in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvin Marsland saved Cudgee from getting behind. After 19 minutes, Kevin Conlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crimson Eagles FC and the Cudgee players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Kevin Conlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braedan Franklin's late challenge caught a Crimson Eagles FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braedan Franklin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Crimson Eagles FC booed when Cudgee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braedan Franklin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 minutes of play Cudgee's Braedan Franklin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 35th minute, Braedan Franklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvin Marsland came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Crimson Eagles FC's Kevin Conlin. But to his dismay, Kevin Conlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Crimson Eagles FC's Porter Simpson in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cudgee's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Kevin Conlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crimson Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Conlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Porter Simpson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Sedgman was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Kevin Conlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lowrey Quinnell charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lowrey Quinnell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Cudgee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lowrey Quinnell to maneuver through the defense. Alvin Marsland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Porter Simpson's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Ian Sedgman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jones Addison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alvin Marsland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jones Addison got free with Alvin Marsland in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iggi Lord kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Jones Addison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvin Marsland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Jones Addison struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Alvin Marsland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crimson Eagles FC. Porter Simpson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jones Addison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvin Marsland having to interfere. Byrne Gillingwater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lawrance Shorten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Ian Sedgman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cudgee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Sedgman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Cudgee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byrne Gillingwater to maneuver through the defense. The Cudgee fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Crimson Eagles FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
