Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Philip Tarrant got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, TheRockets's Jamese Veitch got control of the ball when Peter Crane tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dakota Shortis fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TheRockets's protests and gave Dakota Shortis a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes TheRockets got a freekick which was hit by Dakota Shortis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Pearman got free with Jamese Veitch in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remy Fynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dan Pearman kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Moongobulla booed when TheRockets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philip Tarrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loyd Edwards might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamese Veitch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Loyd Edwards ran back to his position shaking his head. Jamese Veitch made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Peter Crane sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to TheRockets getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Dakota Shortis hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Peter Crane took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jamese Veitch to make any attempt to save it. Jamese Veitch was a little too slow when Peter Crane got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 3-0. Ivan Kurth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remy Fynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes, Loyd Edwards mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moongobulla and the TheRockets players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Moongobulla's Loyd Edwards got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute, Dan Pearman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Moongobulla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Dan Pearman made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Moongobulla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Crane to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Birrell Batterham fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Moongobulla's Ivan Kurth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Moongobulla from getting a goal against them. Dan Pearman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the last second Ivan Kurth throw himself and got hold of the ball when Philip Tarrant in the 66thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 70 minutes into the game, Eliot Lord was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moongobulla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TheRockets the free kick. Remy Fynn took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Kurth. Ivan Kurth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The supporters of TheRockets booed when Moongobulla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Crane didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored TheRockets's protests and gave Russell Szobczak a yellow card for diving instead. During the 96th minute of the match Eliot Lord completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eliot Lord a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
