Spectators: 8459 (Terracing: 6345, Seating: 1945, VIP seats: 169) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Murphey Muddle kicked off to start the match. In the 4th match minute, TheRockets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryant Biddell to maneuver through the defense. Randell Malacarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Tarrant in the 6th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes Glenferrie got a freekick which was hit by Carmichael Cootes. Philip Tarrant scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Randell Malacarne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 13 played minutes TheRockets got a freekick which was hit by Sam Kuch. Jamese Veitch made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Carmichael Cootes sent off a good shot on target. Jamese Veitch was a little too slow when Murphey Muddle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-1. Murphey Muddle took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jamese Veitch. Jamese Veitch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 24 minutes into the match, Glenferrie's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Tarrant came free, but Randell Malacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryson Smalley in the 26th minute of play forced Glenferrie's goalkeeper Randell Malacarne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TheRockets's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Carmichael Cootes scored to the left of an out of position Jamese Veitch, making the score, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryson Smalley during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bryson Smalley hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Jamese Veitch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murphey Muddle went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Randell Malacarne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryson Smalley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randell Malacarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryant Biddell in the 40th minute of the match. After a long run with the ball, Ellis Ashby did a trick in the 42nd minute in front of Glenferrie's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 4-2. An impressive performance by TheRockets's Ellis Ashby!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Philip Tarrant made a kick off. A collision led to Glenferrie getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Broderick Johnston hit a great ball. 52 minutes into the match, TheRockets's Philip Tarrant broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 54 minutes into the match, Glenferrie's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Tarrant came free, but Randell Malacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Randell Malacarne made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Bryant Biddell sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Broderick Johnston in the 57th minute of play forced TheRockets's goalkeeper Jamese Veitch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Braedan Paull ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jamese Veitch was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. With a little luck, Glenferrie's Randell Malacarne got control of the ball when Philip Tarrant tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jamese Veitch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Bridson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randell Malacarne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryant Biddell, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to TheRockets getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ellis Ashby hit a great ball. Jamese Veitch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Broderick Johnston in the 80th minute of play. Randell Malacarne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birrell Batterham, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Glenferrie's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Tarrant came free, but Randell Malacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Glenferrie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Broderick Johnston to maneuver through the defense. Jamese Veitch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braedan Paull's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Many of TheRockets's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. TheRockets may have spent more time on the ball, but Glenferrie were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
