Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ellis Hoskin started the match with the kick off. Ivan Kurth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conner Perrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Dan Pearman struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Reese Czaczka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moongobulla. After having played for 16 minutes, Dan Pearman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moongobulla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dan Pearman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 minutes of play, Finley's Ellis Hoskin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Kurth was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 23rd play minutes Dan Pearman shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Reese Czaczka and just under the crossbar into goal. Ivan Kurth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Perrett in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Moongobulla getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Richard Baptiste hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes, Finley's Bevis Stafford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Kurth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Finley reached it. Ivan Kurth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ellis Hoskin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Finley booed when Moongobulla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Edwards didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Moongobulla's goal looked a bit too open when Conner Perrett came free, but Ivan Kurth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reese Czaczka made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Dan Pearman sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyde Renny in the 44th minute of play forced Moongobulla's goalkeeper Ivan Kurth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Moongobulla getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Peter Crane hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Moongobulla's Ivan Kurth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ellis Hoskin in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Finley's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Pearman came free, but Reese Czaczka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conner Perrett got free with Ivan Kurth in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Conner Perrett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Finley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Moongobulla's zone, Boyde Renny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Kurth came out of the goal and Boyde Renny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Kurth made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Conner Perrett sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 67 minutes, Nick Palmington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Finley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Palmington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Moongobulla getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Archie Stebbing hit a great ball. After 73 minutes, Bryanne Foley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moongobulla and the Finley players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 minutes of play, Moongobulla's Dan Pearman made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 89th minute, Conner Perrett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Kurth was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Ivan Kurth came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Finley's Boyde Renny. But to his dismay, Boyde Renny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. 95 minutes into the match, Moongobulla's goal looked a bit too open when Ellis Hoskin came free, but Ivan Kurth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reese Czaczka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Crane, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Finley eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
