An unexpectedly hard shot by Broderick Twite in the 5th minute of play forced Moongobulla's goalkeeper Ivan Kurth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stewart Greenbank's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ivan Kurth firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Moongobulla's zone, Stewart Greenbank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Kurth came out of the goal and Stewart Greenbank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the game, one of Coventry City FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ivan Kurth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Broderick Twite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rufus Pound might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Kurth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rufus Pound ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, Coventry City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Pearman came free, but Eden Hanslow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Archie Stebbing during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lawrance Sobczak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Kurth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. If Stewart Greenbank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stewart Greenbank could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ivan Kurth made a huge save. After 88 minutes of play, Coventry City FC's Jeffers Loch made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Kurth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peter Crane kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jeffers Loch scored 7-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Kurth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Coventry City FC had won after a very even match.
