Randell Malacarne didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 3rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. A collision led to Glenferrie getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Brynn Berresford hit a great ball. A hard shot by Broderick Twite from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Randell Malacarne's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Randell Malacarne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Pound, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfred Obrien's late challenge caught a Coventry City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfred Obrien helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Glenferrie's Alfred Obrien got a free kick in the 10th minute. Eden Hanslow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murphey Muddle in the 17th minute of the match. Murphey Muddle struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Eden Hanslow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glenferrie. Brynn Berresford hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Randell Malacarne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stewart Greenbank in the 29th minute. Broderick Johnston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randell Malacarne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrance Sobczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Coventry City FC's Broderick Twite slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Randell Malacarne. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. In the 43rd minute Broderick Johnston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eden Hanslow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stewart Greenbank hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes, Glenferrie's Broderick Johnston shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eden Hanslow came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glenferrie reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murphey Muddle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Bryant Cudmore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glenferrie's supporters rose to their feet, but Bryant Cudmore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eden Hanslow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Glenferrie's goal looked a bit too open when Rufus Pound came free, but Randell Malacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Coventry City FC's Stewart Greenbank nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Randell Malacarne made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 66th minute Stewart Greenbank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randell Malacarne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Greenbank in the 69th minute of play forced Glenferrie's goalkeeper Randell Malacarne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rufus Pound kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Randell Malacarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufus Pound in the 75th minute of the match. Randell Malacarne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeffers Loch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 played minutes Glenferrie got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Obrien. After a defensive mix-up in Glenferrie's zone, Broderick Twite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randell Malacarne came out of the goal and Broderick Twite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stewart Greenbank took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Randell Malacarne. Randell Malacarne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to Coventry City FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Broderick Twite hit a great ball. Carmichael Cootes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eden Hanslow firmly grabbed it by the left post. Coventry City FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
