The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Glenferrie. Glenferrie:s Randell Malacarne showed great skill when he stopped Porter Simpson:s penalty. Murphey Muddle kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Randell Malacarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jones Addison in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Broderick Johnston recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lawrance Shorten. Broderick Johnston showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Lawrance Shorten made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Murphey Muddle sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Braedan Paull got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Crimson Eagles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raleigh Mclatchey to maneuver through the defense. If Jones Addison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Glenferrie's goal looked a bit too open when Porter Simpson came free, but Randell Malacarne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lawrance Shorten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murphey Muddle in the 41st minute of the match. When Douglas White came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Crimson Eagles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas White couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Crimson Eagles FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Porter Simpson hit a great ball. Murphey Muddle scored 2-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lawrance Shorten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Porter Simpson made a kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Murphey Muddle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crimson Eagles FC's Lawrance Shorten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Jones Addison made a precise shot to the right of Randell Malacarne. Glenferrie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Jones Addison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Malacarne having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jones Addison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crimson Eagles FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jones Addison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randell Malacarne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Murphey Muddle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lawrance Shorten was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game.
