After a rather tough play, Malbina's Cod Duncan got a free kick in the 30th minute. Dacosta Bodimeade struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Randell Warhurst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malbina. A collision led to Malbina getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Hans Duggan hit a great ball. The supporters of Hernani Sydney booed when Malbina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cod Duncan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Malbina's goal looked a bit too open when Darren Limmer came free, but Ronald Parryman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cod Duncan to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronald Parryman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Maybury in the 55th minute. In the 62nd minute, Darren Limmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Randell Warhurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cod Duncan in the 66th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Cod Duncan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hernani Sydney's Randell Warhurst. Randell Warhurst was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Malbina's Dacosta Bodimeade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Randell Warhurst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Randell Warhurst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cod Duncan, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Hernani Sydney's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
