Brockman Mcinnes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Shearn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 played minutes Clovass got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Shearn. If Arneil Krause had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Xan Cembrana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eavan Deal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Brockman Mcinnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murphy Kuskopf in the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, Perth Glory's Brockman Mcinnes got control of the ball when Downing Millgate tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Perth Glory getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bill Keam hit a great ball. Brockman Mcinnes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matthews Block in the 28th minute. Murphy Kuskopf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brockman Mcinnes having to interfere. Downing Millgate received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brockman Mcinnes came out and tried to block the shot, but Downing Millgate slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. When Ryan Shearn fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clovass's protests and gave Ryan Shearn a yellow card for diving instead. When Murphy Kuskopf came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Clovass fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murphy Kuskopf couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xan Cembrana to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murphy Kuskopf in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brockman Mcinnes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arneil Krause got free with Eavan Deal in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clovass's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
