The audience was convinced that Darley Woods's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Randell Warhurst was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Darley Mcquoid helped the player get up and apologised. Darley Woods hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Pensioners 2.0's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Darren Limmer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Andrew Norden might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Randell Warhurst. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrew Norden ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Hernani Sydney's Braedan Powley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Darley Mcquoid hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Randell Warhurst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonia Fessey, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Norden in the 37th minute of play forced Hernani Sydney's goalkeeper Randell Warhurst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Randell Warhurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quincy Fitzsimmons in the 38th minute of the match. Darley Mcquoid kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Berry Pickhills managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pensioners 2.0's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berry Pickhills was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Braedan Powley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Davey Curtis. That made the score 3-0 in the 44 minute of play. In the 47th minute Darley Woods shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randell Warhurst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darren Limmer made a kick off. In the 51st minute Darren Limmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davey Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caine Mcinnes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 65 minutes of play, Pensioners 2.0's Antonia Fessey made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Randell Warhurst was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antonia Fessey kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pensioners 2.0 defense, Sam Maybury kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davey Curtis. The Pensioners 2.0 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davey Curtis should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Hernani Sydney's Randell Warhurst got control of the ball when Antonia Fessey tried to sneak it across the goal line. Randell Warhurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quincy Fitzsimmons in the 74th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Pensioners 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Norden. 84 minutes into the match, Antonia Fessey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Randell Warhurst, 4-2. Randell Warhurst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quincy Fitzsimmons, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute, Darley Woods made a precise shot to the right of Randell Warhurst. Hernani Sydney's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braedan Powley in the 96th minute of play forced Pensioners 2.0's goalkeeper Davey Curtis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Hernani Sydney were the better team. Hernani Sydney's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
