The referee ignored PowerSlim Pro LCD's protests and gave Ian Renney a yellow card for diving instead. Dante Brennan struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jaroslaw Czerny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selby FC. 20 minutes into the game, Sam Millar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jenkins Kuskopf was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the match, Selby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Renney came free, but Jenkins Kuskopf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaroslaw Czerny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Quelch, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Stanley Staworowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. Selby FC's Kirk Reilly quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 29th minute Phenix Mcinnis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaroslaw Czerny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes PowerSlim Pro LCD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Quelch who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of PowerSlim Pro LCD's goalie and right to Phenix Mcinnis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PowerSlim Pro LCD's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Selby FC's Ray Williams got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Cod Thiele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jenkins Kuskopf having to interfere. A collision led to Selby FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Martin Quelch hit a great ball. When Selby FC's Bo Renny in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PowerSlim Pro LCD's goalie prevented a goal. Sam Millar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jenkins Kuskopf having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Sam Millar managed to get in a good position for a shot. PowerSlim Pro LCD's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam Millar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jenkins Kuskopf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute, Joseph Smee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jenkins Kuskopf was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sam Millar was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to PowerSlim Pro LCD getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Stanley Staworowski hit a great ball. Jaroslaw Czerny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Renny in the 57th minute of the match. Cod Thiele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Smee hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Sam Millar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jenkins Kuskopf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Cliff Tevelien was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selby FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PowerSlim Pro LCD the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, Selby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Tevelien to maneuver through the defense. Bo Renny might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaroslaw Czerny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bo Renny ran back to his position shaking his head. Bo Renny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute.
