Buck Leydin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zackery Stafford went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Christopher Twite came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ingebyra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Twite couldn't finish the play. In the 8th match minute, Melbourne City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyd Gaffigan to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute of the match Carter Reilly shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Buck Leydin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Edmonds Dale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Melbourne City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zackery Stafford came free, but Buck Leydin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmonds Dale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Melbourne City FC defense, Edmonds Dale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Buck Leydin. The Melbourne City FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Buck Leydin should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Christopher Twite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Buck Leydin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Buck Leydin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zackery Stafford in the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Zackery Stafford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ingebyra's supporters rose to their feet, but Zackery Stafford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buck Leydin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melbourne City FC's Buck Leydin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zackery Stafford in the 37th minute of play. Buck Leydin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmonds Dale went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Buck Leydin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Russel Wayland in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zackery Stafford stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jeffers Fraser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Zackery Stafford took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Buck Leydin to make any attempt to save it. Edmonds Dale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Buck Leydin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Biddle Pickhills blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvin Cudmore having to make a save. 69 minutes into the game, Biddle Pickhills was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melbourne City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ingebyra the free kick. In the 69th match minute, Melbourne City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Biddle Pickhills to maneuver through the defense. Russel Wayland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Buck Leydin made a huge save. 76 minutes into the game, Ralph Ancell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ingebyra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melbourne City FC the free kick. Buck Leydin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zackery Stafford, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Melbourne City FC's Buck Leydin got control of the ball when Russel Wayland tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, Antonia Mcroberts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 minutes of play, Ingebyra's Edmonds Dale made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Buck Leydin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ingebyra's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
