With an all-out effort, Dargal's Keefer Richard threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Murdock Maslin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 15th minute of the match, Dani Shipp got a very nice opportunity to score, but Keefer Richard was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nichol Staworowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Arkinstall in the 17th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Matthew Dollamore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ringo Leydin in the 22nd minute of play forced Dargal's goalkeeper Nichol Staworowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Dargal's goal looked a bit too open when Blade Stanton came free, but Nichol Staworowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Darell Boothey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blade Stanton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nichol Staworowski came out and tried to block the shot, but Blade Stanton slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 62nd minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Dani Shipp put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Keefer Richard.
