Andres Kreck started the match with the kick off. Alexander Whitmore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiger Powderham in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesse Voller in the 5th minute of play forced Close family's goalkeeper Alexander Whitmore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Ian Paddle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berkeley Trevena. Cockatoo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian Paddle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesse Voller in the 19th minute of play forced Close family's goalkeeper Alexander Whitmore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Reynolds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berkeley Trevena having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Paul Butterfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Close family booed when Cockatoo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiger Powderham didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Jesse Voller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Whitmore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berkeley Trevena made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Ian Paddle sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Paddle to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Paul Butterfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berkeley Trevena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cockatoo's zone, Ian Paddle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berkeley Trevena came out of the goal and Ian Paddle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 56 played minutes Cockatoo got a freekick which was hit by Otto Dalglish. In the 57th minute, Ian Paddle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Butterfield in the 59th minute of play forced Cockatoo's goalkeeper Berkeley Trevena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Whitmore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesse Voller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Tiger Powderham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Whitmore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Whitmore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otto Dalglish in the 66th minute. Berkeley Trevena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Butterfield in the 68th minute of the match. Ian Paddle scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Berkeley Trevena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cockatoo's Tiger Powderham got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Otto Dalglish fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cockatoo's protests and gave Otto Dalglish a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute of the match Ian Paddle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Berkeley Trevena skillfully saved the ball. Alexander Whitmore was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Tiger Powderham capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tiger Powderham really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Ian Paddle took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berkeley Trevena. Berkeley Trevena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 93rd minute, Andres Kreck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Close family's Alexander Whitmore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiger Powderham in the 94th minute of play. Jiang Xing charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jiang Xing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Close family support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
