Spectators: 8582 (Terracing: 6437, Seating: 1974, VIP seats: 171) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Andres Kreck kicked off to start the match. 9 minutes into the game, Benny Chamberlain recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Berkeley Trevena. Benny Chamberlain showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Cockatoo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Benny Chamberlain scored to the left of an out of position Berkeley Trevena, making the score, 2-0. In the 16th minute, Benny Chamberlain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Adelaide fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 20th minute of the match, Darren Paynter got a very nice opportunity to score, but Berkeley Trevena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Benny Chamberlain took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Berkeley Trevena to make any attempt to save it. Tiger Powderham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglas Christian having to make a save. After having played for 33 minutes, Benny Chamberlain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adelaide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benny Chamberlain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berkeley Trevena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Chamberlain in the 40th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Benny Chamberlain took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Berkeley Trevena to make any attempt to save it. Cockatoo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Barnett Collins scored to the left of an out of position Berkeley Trevena, making the score, 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Hickman was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnett Collins in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berkeley Trevena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benny Chamberlain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, Benny Chamberlain made a precise shot to the right of Berkeley Trevena. Cockatoo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Berkeley Trevena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carleton Atkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Benny Chamberlain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Adelaide fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 72nd minute, Carleton Atkin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berkeley Trevena was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. After 76 minutes of play, Adelaide's Alberto Hickman made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berkeley Trevena was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute, Carleton Atkin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berkeley Trevena was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. Berkeley Trevena came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Adelaide's Barnett Collins. But to his dismay, Barnett Collins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. In the 88th minute, Benny Chamberlain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Adelaide fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. 93 minutes into the match, Barnett Collins notched a goal, 14-0, to the right of Cockatoo's Berkeley Trevena. Berkeley Trevena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Adelaide had played much better football throughout.
