Landervale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hale Blestowe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Richard Connolly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doyle Flesfader in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, as roma's Clay Sennett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Connolly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Long Wal could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Darley Finden however easily saved by the left post. Darley Finden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brown Soekirno, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Boyd Andrusiow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darley Finden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darley Finden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brown Soekirno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendan Wittber was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Brown Soekirno kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Boris Lingwoodock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. as roma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Landervale the free kick. A collision led to as roma getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Boris Lingwoodock hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clay Sennett to strike the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 54th minute of the game was made by Brendan Wittber with Boyd Andrusiow as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. as roma's Darley Finden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Long Wal in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyd Andrusiow in the 70th minute of play forced as roma's goalkeeper Darley Finden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of as roma booed when Landervale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brown Soekirno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brown Soekirno's late challenge caught a as roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brown Soekirno helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Landervale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brown Soekirno to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Landervale's goalkeeper Richard Connolly had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clay Sennett. as roma's Darley Finden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brown Soekirno in the 92nd minute of play. The excitement rose when Landervale's Brendan Wittber after 95 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for as roma's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-4. If Doyle Flesfader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The as roma supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing as roma would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
