In the 3rd minute Antony Mcjunkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bishop Burmeister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute of the match, Adam Dale got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pearce Awage was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Kybongs getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Herbert Paddle hit a great ball. After 11 minutes of play, Wowagin's Adam Dale made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pearce Awage was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Stewart Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodd Lord struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Bishop Burmeister didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kybongs. Bishop Burmeister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antony Mcjunkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Kybongs's goalkeeper Pearce Awage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Dale. Herbert Paddle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antony Mcjunkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bishop Burmeister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bishop Burmeister stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stewart Bailey's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaffery Simpson during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Jaffery Simpson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antony Mcjunkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bishop Burmeister having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Herbert Paddle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stewart Bailey to make the kick off. Murdock Willding hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Wowagin's Bishop Burmeister played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stewart Bailey in the 58th minute of play. Herbert Paddle struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Bishop Burmeister didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kybongs. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Dale in the 64th minute of play forced Kybongs's goalkeeper Pearce Awage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stewart Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bishop Burmeister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Herbert Paddle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kybongs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbert Paddle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Kybongs's goal looked a bit too open when Ringo Limmer came free, but Pearce Awage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stewart Bailey got free with Bishop Burmeister in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodd Lord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bishop Burmeister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Wowagin's Ringo Limmer got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Jake Conlin kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Rodd Lord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Stewart Bailey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kybongs's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Bailey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bishop Burmeister breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Wowagin support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
